Intergalaktik contributes to Heritage in Motion 2026 finalist project
Written by Intergalaktik on .
Goran Mahovlić, co-founder of Intergalaktik, developed the electronics for the assistive installation Grandfather and Grandson, which has been selected as a finalist for the Heritage in Motion 2026 award in the New Digital Experiences category.
The installation adapts a painting from the collection of the Typhlological Museum in Zagreb for blind and visually impaired visitors, combining tactile, audio and interactive elements into an accessible museum experience.
Mahovlić was responsible for the development and electronics of the installation, contributing to the technical implementation of its interactive functions and assistive features.
The project was developed within Radiona.org / Zagreb Makerspace’s InkluLAB3 programme and presented at the Typhlological Museum in September 2024, where it remains available to visitors.
The Heritage in Motion nomination highlights the role that electronics, interactive technologies and prototyping can play in creating more inclusive ways of experiencing cultural heritage.
